Date Carrot Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1 c. margarine, softened
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    4 eggs
    1 lb. carrots, shredded
    1 pkg. chopped dates
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 tsp. ground ginger
Preparation
    Drain pineapple well.
    Beat margarine and sugars until light and fluffy.
    Beat in eggs.
    Beat in pineapple, carrots, dates and vanilla.
    Combine flour, soda, cinnamon and ginger.
    Gradually add flour mixture and beat until well blended.
    Pour batter into greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 50 to 60 minutes until cake tested in middle comes out clean.
    Cool completely.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
    Serves 20.
