Pecan Rolls - cooking recipe

2 c. sifted enriched flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
4 Tbsp. shortening
2/3 to 3/4 c. milk
2 Tbsp. melted butter
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
pecan halves
Preparation

Prepare muffin pans by spreading thickly with creamy mixture made by creaming together 3 tablespoons butter and 6 tablespoons brown sugar.
Put 2 or 3 pecan halves into each muffin cup.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; cut in shortening.
Add milk, stirring only until dough holds together.
