Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 or 5 large sweet potatoes
1/2 c. white Karo
1/4 stick margarine
2 Tbsp. water
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 1/2 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Boil sweet potatoes until tender enough to stick with a fork but still firm.
Cool, peel and cut into pieces and place in dish. (I use 4 or 5 large potatoes.)
Stir together Karo, margarine, water and sugar.
(Double these ingredients if you have a large dish of potatoes.)
Pour over potatoes.
Add remaining ingredients mixed together.
Cook at 400\u00b0 until thick.
If necessary, place foil over top of potatoes after they have cooked for a while so that they won't scorch on top.
