Cornmeal Seafood Batter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 c. milk
    2 1/2 c. cornmeal
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Combine egg and flour.\tBeat in milk, salt and pepper. Whip to a smooth batter.
    Put cornmeal in a shallow pan.
    Set aside. Dip the fish into the batter, coating both sides.
    Place into the cornmeal and coat thoroughly.
    Shake off excess and fry to a golden brown.
