Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. vegetable oil or shortening
1 lb. minced beef
1/2 c. sliced onions
1/2 c. diced green peppers
1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans
1 (10 oz.) can tomato soup
2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. water
1 (10 oz.) can pork and beans
1/4 tsp. oregano
Preparation

Heat, in a large heavy frying pan, vegetable oil or shortening.
Add minced beef, onions and green peppers.
When meat is lightly browned, add remaining ingredients.
Blend, cover and simmer gently for 20 minutes.
Yields 4 to 6 servings.
