Pastitsio(Makes 6 Servings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. butter
    3/4 c. finely chopped onion
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 1/4 lb. lean ground beef
    1 (16 oz.) can peeled tomatoes, mashed
    1/2 c. tomato sauce
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of the butter.
    Saute onion and garlic until golden.
    Add remaining butter and crumbled ground beef; brown well.
    Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, salt, pepper, cinnamon and cloves to meat mixture.
    Simmer 20 minutes or until most of the liquid has been absorbed.
    Mixture should be thick.
