C & R Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Mix shortening, sugar and eggs. Sift together flour, salt, soda and cream of tartar. Add to creamed mixture. Chill dough. Roll into walnut size balls. Then roll in a mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
