German Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. margarine or butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. each: allspice, cinnamon and nutmeg
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
2/3 c. cherry preserves
2/3 c. apricot preserves
2/3 c. pineapple preserves
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs and vanilla.
Add flour, allspice, cinnamon and nutmeg, alternating with buttermilk with soda added to buttermilk.
Fold in preserves and pecans.
Bake for 1 1/2 hours at 325\u00b0.
Let cool in pan for about 15 minutes before removing.
