Old Homestead Skillet Peach Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. butter
1 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. shortening
4 or 5 large peaches
sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. milk
Preparation

Melt butter in skillet.
Sprinkle 1/4 cup sugar over butter. Lay in peach halves, sprinkled with 1 tablespoon of sugar.
Sift flour three times with baking powder, salt and 1 tablespoon sugar. Cut in shortening.
