125 Year Old Black Walnut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    1 tsp. rum flavoring
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    1 c. black walnuts, chopped
Preparation
    Cream butter and shortening.
    Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add flavorings and beat.
    Add combined flour and baking powder alternately with milk, ending with flour.
    Add nuts.
    Pour into greased tube pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.
    Let cool for 10 minutes or so and remove from pan.
