Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 German chocolate cake mix
    1 stick oleo, softened
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 large can evaporated milk
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. oil
    1 lb. bag caramels
    chopped pecans
Preparation
    Mix well, oleo, water, eggs, oil and 1/2 can milk.
    Add to cake mix, blend well.
    Pour 1/2 mixture into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Melt caramels and add rest of can of milk, saving back 6 tablespoons for frosting.
    Pour caramel and milk mixture over baked layer; sprinkle with pecans.
    Pour rest of batter on top and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
