Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. round steak, cut into strips
    1 chopped onion
    1 c. diced celery
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 c. water
    1 beef bouillon cube
    1 green pepper, cut into strips
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch, mixed with 1/2 c. water until smooth
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
Preparation
    Brown steak, onion and celery in 2 tablespoons hot fat.
    Add pepper, sugar, water and bouillon cube.
    Cover and reduce heat. Simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
    Add green pepper and simmer 5 to 10 minutes more.
    Add cornstarch.
    Serve over rice or Chinese noodles.
    Add more water if desired.
