Ingredients

3/4 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs, well beaten
4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 c. sour cream or half and half
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream butter; add sugar and eggs.
Set aside.
Mix and sift flour, salt and baking powder.
Add to creamed mixture with sour cream or half and half.
Add vanilla.
Chill.
Roll into balls; press with glass.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400\u00b0.
Frost with butter frosting when cooled.
