Chocolate Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. hot water
1 c. oatmeal
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 stick margarine or butter
1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Mix oatmeal and hot water; allow to stand and cool.
In a large mixing bowl, add eggs, sugar, butter, cocoa and oatmeal mixture.
Beat 3 minutes, then add flour, soda and salt; mix well. Pour into greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes. Check for doneness after 30 minutes.
Cool in pan.
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
