Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream shortening
    and
    sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time, and beat
    between each addition. Add vanilla.
    Alternately add the dry ingredients
    and buttermilk.
    Put batter in a greased tube pan. Bake
    at 325\u00b0 until light golden brown, about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
