French Cream Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. water
    2 1/3 c. powdered sugar
    1 egg
    2/3 c. shortening
    vanilla
Preparation
    Boil together sugar and water; cook to thread stage.
    Cream powdered sugar, egg and shortening together.
    Add vanilla.
    Beat until fluffy.
    Add sugar water.
    Continue beating until light and fluffy.
