Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 2/3 c. sugar
    1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/4 c. (about 3) sieved bananas
    2/3 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. (2 large) eggs
    2/3 c. chopped nuts (if desired)
Preparation
    Put in first 6 ingredients.
    Add bananas and 1/2 of the buttermilk.
    Mix until all the flour is dampened, then beat vigorously for 2 minutes.
    Add remaining buttermilk and eggs. Beat 2 minutes longer.
    Bake 30 to 35 minutes in a 350\u00b0.
