Southwestern Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. potatoes
    1 c. picante sauce
    1 c. thinly sliced celery
    1 Tbsp. chives
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 c. sour cream
    1/2 c. shredded cheese (Cheddar, Mozzarella or Monterey Jack, optional)
    1/4 c. cooked bacon bits (optional)
Preparation
    Bake or boil potatoes until tender.
    Drain (if boiled) and cool.
    Coarsely chop potatoes.
    Combine other ingredients and mix lightly with potatoes.
    Cover and chill at least 2 hours before serving.
