Toffee Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 c. margarine
2 c. flour
12 oz. chocolate chips
nuts (optional)

Preparation

Cream brown sugar, egg yolk and margarine.
Add flour.
Spread in ungreased 13 x 9-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
Let them soften, then spread them evenly.
Sprinkle with nuts if desired.
