Williamsburg Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small onion, chopped
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 c. dry unseasoned bread cubes
    1/2 c. light brown sugar
    5 c. (2 1/2 lb.) canned tomatoes
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease shallow casserole.
    Saute onion in butter until soft, not brown.
    Add bread cubes and brown sugar, stirring over low heat for 3 to 5 minutes.
    Stir in tomatoes and season to taste.
    Pour into prepared casserole and bake 30 to 40 minutes or until bubbly.
