Elizabeth'S Easy Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 to 12 large cucumbers
    4 c. vinegar
    8 c. sugar
    5 tsp. bag salt
    2 Tbsp. allspice (I think pickling spice is better)
Preparation
    Put whole cucumbers in boiling water.
    Let stand until next day.
    Pour off water, rinse well and cover with boiling water.
    Do this for 4 days.
    Then slice cucumbers.
    Bring to boil vinegar, sugar, salt and pickling spices.
    Then pour over cucumbers.
    Let stand 24 hours.
    Then bring to boil the whole thing and then can into 7 to 8 pints.
