Dunn'S Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cook sugar, corn syrup, water and salt to 248\u00b0.
    Cover and boil for 3 minutes.
    Uncover and place thermometer in pan.
    Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
    When syrup is 248\u00b0, slowly pour about 1/2 of the syrup over the egg whites, beating constantly with the mixer.
    Cook remaining syrup to 272\u00b0.
