Corn Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/4 c. milk
    2 tsp. melted shortening
    1 1/2 c. canned or fresh corn
    oil
Preparation
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    In separate bowl, beat eggs, milk and melted shortening.
    Stir into dry mixture and add corn. Drop from tablespoon into about 1/2-inch of hot oil in skillet. Drain on paper towels.
