Canned Apple Pie Filling - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. cornstarch
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
10 c. water
7 qt. sliced apples
Preparation

Mix all ingredients, except apples; bring to a boil.
Boil until thick.
Slice enough apples to fill 7 quarts.
Pour mixture over apples.
Seal jars and process in open canner for 20 minutes.
