Okra Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 1/2 lb. small okra pods
1 pt. distilled white vinegar
1 qt. water
1/3 c. salt
3 small hot peppers (if desired)
garlic cloves
2 tsp. dill seed
Preparation

Pack okra firmly in jars.
Put garlic clove in each jar. Combine other ingredients and boil.
Pour boiling brine over okra and seal jars.
Process in boiling water bath about 180\u00b0 to 200\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Let ripen several weeks before opening.
Makes 4 to 5 pints.
