Orange Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 Tbsp. grated orange rind
    2 c. raisins, chopped
    1 c. walnuts, chopped
    1 c. coconut, flaked
Preparation
    In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
    Add vanilla.
    Add sifted flour and salt alternately with combined buttermilk and soda.
    Blend in orange rind, raisins, walnuts and coconut.
    Turn into a well-greased and floured tube pan (10-inch).
    Bake in slow oven (300\u00b0) until a cake tester comes away dry (about 1 1/2 hours). Remove from oven, leave cake in pan.
