Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. flour
1 c. corn meal
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
1 onion, grated

Preparation

Mix dry ingredients together; add onion, egg and buttermilk. Beat well.
Fry in deep fat. (Especially good if fried where fish has been fried.)
Drop into fat by small spoonfuls.
