Joe Froggers - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. rum extract
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. allspice
1 c. dark molasses
1 1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/3 c. water
1 c. sugar
Preparation

Sift together flour, salt, ginger, cloves, nutmeg and allspice.
Combine rum and water.
Add soda to molasses. Thoroughly cream Crisco and sugar.
Add half the dry ingredients, half the water mixture, then half the molasses mixture.
Blend well after each addition.
Repeat.
Chill dough several hours. These cookies may be rolled out and cut into desired shapes or just shape with hand.
Bake 10 minutes at 375\u00b0.
Watch carefully so they don't burn.
Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 if cooking too fast.
