Aunt Fannie'S Cabin Baked Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. yellow summer squash
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. cracker crumbs
    2 eggs
    1 stick butter
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cut squash and boil until tender.
    Drain and mash.
    Add remaining ingredients, except butter, to squash.
    Melt remaining 1/2 stick butter.
    Pour mixture into greased casserole and top with melted butter and additional cracker crumbs.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 1 hour or until brown on top.
