Chocolate Chip Date Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. chopped dates
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. margarine
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/4 c. flour
1 pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. nutmeats
1/4 c. sugar

Preparation

Mix first 3 ingredients and let cool.
Mix next 6 ingredients; pour in pan, 13 x 9-inch.
Top with chocolate chips, nutmeats and sugar.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
