Toad In The Hole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, beaten
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    2 c. flour
    2 lb. sausage
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Combine eggs, salt and milk.
    Blend in flour.
    Set aside for 15 minutes.
    Cut sausage in 3/4-inch pieces. In a heavy skillet over medium heat, saute sausage.
    Distribute drippings among eight 3-inch pie pans.
    Pour thin layers (about 1/4-inch) of batter in each pan.
    Bake for 5 minutes.
    Add sausage.
    Top with remaining batter.
    Bake about 25 minutes or until puffed up and browned.
    Serve at once.
    Makes 8 servings.
