Italian Lasagne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground meat
    1/2 lb. pork sausage
    5 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1 (3 oz.) can mushrooms, chopped
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    3 Tbsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. lasagne noodles
    grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Saute meats in 4 tablespoons oil until brown; add onion, garlic, bay leaf and basil. Cook until onion is lightly browned. Add mushrooms, tomatoes, tomato sauce, 1 tablespoon salt and pepper. Simmer 1 hour and 30 minutes, adding water if necessary.
