Crunchy Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

7 lb. cucumbers
2 Tbsp. pure lime
3 oz. alum
2 qt. white vinegar
2 qt. water
12 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. mixed pickling spices
1 Tbsp. celery seed
1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
-
After draining pickles, pour this syrup over them and let stand overnight.
Cook about 45 minutes or until pickles are clear.
Pack in jars and seal.
Process at simmering temperature for 15 minutes.
Makes 13 pints.
