Japanese Fruit Cake #2 - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
5 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 c. sweet milk
3 c. flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. raisins
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
Add flour and baking powder alternately with the milk.
Divide batter into 2 equal parts.
To one bowl, add vanilla; to the other bowl, add spices and raisins.
Bake in 4 greased cake pans, 2 dark layers and 2 white layers. Put together with filling.
Cover with white icing. Sprinkle with coconut, if desired.
