Apple Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. diced, pared apples
    1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. allspice
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. melted butter
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs, lightly beaten
Preparation
    Stir together apples, nuts and sugar.
    Let stand, stirring often, until juicy, about 1 hour.
    Mix flour, soda, salt and spices together.
    Add apple mixture and stir well.
    Blend in butter and vanilla.
    Add eggs.
    Turn into two greased and floured 1 pound coffee cans.
    Tie 2-inch wide band of double foil around top.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until tester comes out clean.
    Cool on rack 10 minutes.
    Remove foil; turn out.
    Serve warm with pudding sauce or cold as cake or tea bread.
