Quick Chicken Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 whole chicken breasts (skinned and boned)
    1 (3 oz) can undrained mushrooms
    3 T butter or margarine
    1/2 cup sour cream
    2 T finely chopped scallions (optional)
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 (10 1/2 oz) can cream of mushroom
Preparation
    Cut chicken into strips.
    Melt butter in skillet over medium heat.
    Add chicken and scallions and sprinkle with salt.
    Cook 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until chicken pieces are opaque. Add mushrooms with liquid, add 1/4 cup water.
    Heat to boiling, stirring until mixture is smooth.
    Reduce heat, Blend in sour cream and heat through, but do not boil.
    Serve over hot cooked noodles or rice.
    *I use boneless chicken breasts.
