Brandied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. sweet potatoes
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. light brown sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. brandy or sherry (cream or regular)
Preparation
    Grease shallow baking dish.
    Boil potatoes or yams in the skins until soft.
    Remove and cool.
    Peel and slice in crosswise slices about 1 1/2 inches thick.
    Place in baking dish and dot with butter or margarine.
    Combine sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt and sprinkle over potatoes.
    Pour brandy or sherry over all and bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
