Dutch Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 egg, beaten
    3 Tbsp. melted butter
    4 to 5 apples
    butter
    sugar
    cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix and sift flour, baking powder, salt and 1/2 cup sugar. Add beaten egg and melted butter to milk.
    Combine 2 mixtures and blend well.
    Spread dough evenly in well-buttered pan.
    Let rise 10 minutes in warm place.
    Lay sliced apples in rows on dough, pressing in.
    Sprinkle with sugar, dot with butter (melted) and dust with cinnamon.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 about 30 minutes or until center is done.
    Serve hot or cold or with milk.
