Cranberry-Apple Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. tart cooking apples
1 lb. cranberries
1 1/2 c. water
2 1/2 c. sugar
Preparation

Pare, core and slice apples.
Pick over cranberries, discard soft ones.
Place in large Dutch oven.
Add water, cover tightly and cook until both fruits are tender, 20 to 30 minutes.
Add sugar, stirring just enough to distribute.
Cook 3 to 4 minutes longer.
Remove from heat.
May be eaten warm or chilled before serving.
