Old Fashioned Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. dark brown sugar
    3 eggs
    3 slices whole wheat bread (can substitute white bread)
    1 1/4 c. evaporated milk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. raisins
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine brown sugar, buttered bread (diced up) and raisins in a 2-quart casserole dish.
    In mixing bowl, blend eggs, milk, salt and vanilla.
    Pour over bread mixture.
    Microwave on High 8 to 10 minutes.
    Rotate dish 1/2 way through cooking time.
    Center should be firm and almost set.
    Brown sugar makes sauce on bottom of pan. Serve with the pudding.
