One Hour Buttermilk Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. yeast
    1 1/2 c. lukewarm buttermilk
    1/2 c. melted shortening
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    4 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Sprinkle yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water.
    Add buttermilk, shortening and sugar.
    Sift flour, soda and salt into mixture; beat until smooth.
    Let stand ten minutes.
    Roll out; shape as desired.
    Place in baking pan.
    Let rise for about 30 minutes in a warm place.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until lightly brown. Yields 2 dozen rolls.
