Asparagus Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (No. 303) cans asparagus, drained (save liquid)
    1 can mushroom soup
    1/2 c. liquid from asparagus
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. Cheddar cheese
    1 c. Ritz cracker crumbs
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. slivered almonds
Preparation
    Layer asparagus in casserole.
    Mix soup, asparagus liquid, salt and pepper; pour over asparagus.
    Mix cracker crumbs with melted butter; sprinkle over asparagus.
    Top with grated cheese and almonds.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 45 minutes or
    at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Serves 8.
