Oyster Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. oysters
    1 stick butter
    3/4 gal. milk
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Put oysters in pan; salt and pepper.
    Cook until oysters begin to curl.
    Put in the butter until it melts.
    Cook slowly about 10 minutes; set off stove and add milk.
    Heat slowly until almost to a boil.
    Turn down and cook slowly but don't let come to a boil.
