Creamy Caramel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. sweet cream
    1/2 c. butter
Preparation
    Bring sugar, cream and butter to a boil.
    Boil 6 minutes.
    Add vanilla.
    Beat until creamy and of spreading consistency.
    Spread on cooled cake.
