Old-Fashion Egg Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. scalded milk
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 deep-dish pie shell
Preparation
    Beat eggs well. Add sugar, salt and vanilla. Beat together well. Add hot milk; mix well. Pour into large deep-dish pie shell or 2 small pie shells. Sprinkle tops with nutmeg and bake until the consistency of Jell-O or knife comes out clean when inserted. Bake the first 15 minutes at 450\u00b0, then at 350\u00b0 to finish, 25 to 30 minutes.
