Beef Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef with bone and meat
    3 qt. cold water
    2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. diced celery
    1 1/2 c. diced carrots
    2 c. diced potatoes
    1 large diced onion
    2 c. frozen or mixed vegetables
    1 qt. or 2 cans tomatoes (use fresh if in season)
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    2 c. chopped cabbage
Preparation
    Cut meat into small cubes or cook meat until tender before adding vegetables.
    Use large cooker; cover and simmer until tender, about 3 hours.
    Season to taste.
    Add parsley just before serving.
