Apple Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. flour
    1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. apple, cut up
    1 egg
    2 pkg. quick-rise yeast
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
    2 c. whole-wheat flour
    1/2 c. margarine or butter (1 stick)
    milk
    4 large eggs
    about 5 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 c. golden raisins
    3/4 c. confectioners sugar
Preparation
    About 3 hours before serving or early in day: In large bowl, combine yeast, sugar, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg and whole-wheat flour.
    In 1-quart saucepan over low heat, heat margarine or butter and 1 1/2 cups milk until very warm (125\u00b0 to 130\u00b0).
    Margarine does not need to melt completely.
