Crisp Pickles(Copied From 1939) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. small cucumbers
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. salt
    1 qt. vinegar
    horseradish
    sliced onion
Preparation
    Soak cukes overnight in cold water.
    Drain; pack in jars with a stick of horseradish in center and a slice of onion on top. Boil sugar, salt and vinegar.
    Pour over cucumbers and seal.
