Bread And Butter Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 qt. cucumbers, sliced (not peeled)
    1 qt. vinegar
    2 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. ground mustard
    1/2 tsp. ground pepper
    3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. turmeric
    1/2 c. salt
Preparation
    Sprinkle salt over cucumbers and let stand for 2 hours.
    Rinse with water.
    Mix the vinegar and spices and bring to a boil.
    Pour over cucumbers and let stand 1 hour (cover the pan).
    Bring pickles to a boil for 2 minutes.
    Pack in jars and process for 15 minutes.
