Monterey Rice(Hot) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. uncooked long grain rice
    1 pt. sour cream
    1 (4 oz.) can Ortega whole green chilies, seeded
    12 oz. thin sliced Monterey Jack cheese
Preparation
    Cook rice until tender and mix well with sour cream.
    Spread one inch layer of rice mixture in a 6 1/2 x 8 1/2-inch baking dish.
    Arrange a thin layer of peppers on top of rice and top with thin slices of cheese.
    Repeat layers.
